Off-site solar investment

Invest in a solar farm.
Power growing businesses.

Own a share of solar generation beyond the customer’s premises. Enroute develops the farm, businesses purchase its electricity, and your investment participates under the agreed project structure.

One farm. A connected investment story.

6 MWp DC. 5 MW AC. Approximately 15 acres.

The layout is illustrative, not a surveyed plan. Supply, ownership and distributions follow the approved project arrangements.

Ten generation plots. One integrated farm.

The generation footprint and the overall land requirement are different. Both are accounted for in the project concept.

Conceptual farm arrangement showing ten solar generation plots, internal access roads and a common transformer and export area.
Illustrative arrangement, not to scale. Final boundaries and engineering follow the approved project layout.
10 acresGeneration plots
Ten 600 kWp blocks, each occupying approximately one acre. Investors can participate in one block or multiples.
5 acresShared infrastructure
Approximately five acres for the 30 ft main road, 20 ft side roads, centralised substation, transformers, export facilities and other common requirements.

Your participation, clearly documented.

Multiple investors can participate in the same farm. Your capacity, asset ownership and land rights need to be clear before funds are committed.

Select capacity in 600 kWp increments
Choose one or more investment blocks, subject to project availability and the agreed participation structure.
Agree the land and ownership structure
Land may be registered in the investor’s name or the agreed JV/project entity’s name. The signed documents determine the registered extent, shared access, common infrastructure rights and responsibilities.
Separate your plot from the gross land budget
One acre is the approximate generation footprint per 600 kWp. Investor Studio retains 1.5 acres per 600 kWp as a gross project-land budgeting allocation across the full 15 acres. This is not an automatic land-title entitlement.
Review the whole project, not only your block
Review generation assumptions, the electricity buyer, grid access, O&M, insurance, financing, cash allocation, exit rights and shared-facility responsibilities together.

One physical farm. Two customer arrangements.

The structure follows the customer’s interest and the project’s eligibility. It changes the agreements and ownership relationship—not the need for grid approvals.

The customer buys electricity.

Under a third-party PPA, an eligible commercial, industrial or institutional customer purchases contracted solar electricity from the project through the applicable open-access arrangement.

Buying electricity does not by itself make the customer a co-owner. Investor participation is documented separately.

The customer also participates in ownership.

Under a group-captive arrangement, participating electricity consumers hold qualifying ownership and meet the applicable captive-consumption requirements. Investor and consumer roles are set out in the project documents.

Customer preference alone does not establish captive status. Eligibility, continuing compliance and the treatment of charges must be assessed for the specific project.

Both structures require project-specific review. No particular tariff, exemption or approval is promised by this illustration.

Open access, without the mystery.

Electricity travels through the shared grid. Contracts, metering and settlement determine how the customer’s solar supply is accounted for.

  1. 01

    Generate and inject

Panels generate DC electricity. Inverters convert it to AC, transformers prepare it for the approved connection, and export metering records injection into the grid.

  2. 02

    Record and settle

The customer draws electricity through its connection. Meter records, applicable losses and settlement rules establish the accounted solar supply—not a dedicated wire or the tracking of particular electrons.

  3. 03

    Bill under the agreements

PPA billing, applicable grid charges and any remaining grid supply are treated under the relevant approvals, rules and agreements. The project documents identify who bears each charge.

Generation becomes income through collections.

An electricity-sale agreement supports the revenue model. Cash available to an investor still depends on actual project performance and obligations.

  1. 01

    Electricity accounted for

Generation and settlement establish the billable supply.

  2. 02

    Customer payment collected

The project receives payment under the PPA collection terms.

  3. 03

    Project obligations met

Agreed operating costs, financing, reserves and other obligations are addressed.

  4. 04

    Investor cash allocated

Distributions follow the investment agreement. They are not a guaranteed fixed payout.

Turn the model into your scenario.

Select capacity in 600 kWp increments. Adjust margin, interest, repayment years and the electricity tariff; then inspect funding, repayments, cash-flow charts and the detailed investment report.

Studio figures are illustrative planning estimates using the displayed assumptions, including the gross land budget. They are not a quotation, ownership offer or guaranteed return.

Before you choose your capacity.

Can multiple investors join one solar farm?

Yes. The concept accommodates ten 600 kWp blocks within a 6 MWp DC project. Investors can participate in one block or multiples, subject to availability and the agreed legal and investment structure.

Is one acre or 1.5 acres needed per 600 kWp?

Approximately one acre is the generation plot. Across the overall 15-acre concept, another five acres accommodate shared roads and infrastructure. Investor Studio retains 1.5 acres per 600 kWp as the gross project-land budgeting allocation; it does not promise that exact registered parcel to each investor.

Will the land be registered in my name?

Registration can be in the investor’s name or the agreed JV/project entity’s name, depending on the project structure. The registered extent, common access and infrastructure rights must be confirmed in the signed documents before investment.

Must every buyer become a shareholder?

No. A third-party PPA customer purchases electricity without becoming an owner merely through that purchase. A group-captive structure requires qualifying consumer ownership and consumption. The appropriate arrangement is assessed for the customer and project.

Are grid charges and monthly returns fixed?

No fixed grid-cost outcome or investor payout is promised here. Charges depend on the applicable arrangements and rules. Investor distributions depend on generation, collections, costs, financing and the signed agreements. Review the project assumptions and obtain independent legal and financial advice.
